Informative and hands-on – Sevic expands its Bochum headquarters to include a showroom with plenty of information space and testing opportunities for interested buyers
Bochum, 30. November 2022: With just a few weeks to go before the first deliveries of the innovative electric compact transporter Sevic V500e, Sevic is expanding the company headquarters in Bochum to include a showroom of around 500sqm. There, the interested public can not only experience several differently equipped vehicles, but also test them in person on an adjacent test site and take a look at the drive train, which was designed and built in Europe. Forklifts will also be available in the future for a demonstration of the quick body change - a core advantage of the Sevic V500e. "Finally, a patented cargo swap system with currently six different load boxes on the vehicle ensures a quick exchange of transport superstructures. In a matter of minutes, users can, for example, switch from a sales box with roller shutters, as in the test vehicle, to a pick-up superstructure with the help of a standard forklift. You should have experienced live how easy and fast this really is," says Sevic General Manager Alexander Brilis.
In a relaxed atmosphere, e-mobility experts will provide information about the various configuration options and performance data, right through to financing options and the various service points throughout Germany. Those who would like to take a closer look can drive the vehicles onto the lifting platform in the neighbouring technical centre and really see the V500e from all sides. Various touch panels allow individual vehicle configurations even without a human advisor. In addition, various charging options can be tried out on site – with the option of a Schuko plug or Type 2 plug.
First showroom event with Ruhrmobil-E e. V.
The Sevic team was able to experience how well the new premises and, of course, the vehicles were received at a first showroom event. Over 20 members of the Ruhrmobil-E e.V. took a closer look at the V500e during a members' meeting and talked shop with the Sevic technology experts.
"We were of course very pleased about the great interest shown by Ruhrmobil-E e.V.. We are very proud of the great manufacturing quality of our vehicles and it is important to us to provide transparent and optimal information about our vehicles here on site in Bochum. And we do this in the atmosphere of a premium and modern showroom. For us, this is also an important sign of appreciation towards our customers and everyone interested in our products, some of whom have travelled very long distances to get to know our vehicles better," Brilis continues.
Long-range version with 300 kilometres range for under 30,000 euros
After Sevic announced its new V500e model back in April, they have undergone intensive testing in Bochum since mid-June and will now be safely delivered to customers in Germany in the next few weeks.
For Sevic General Manager Brilis, there is no question that his vehicles will do well in the various markets: "You should be able to experience our vehicles live, because there are so many innovative details that are already exciting potential customers. Chassis and Drivetrain are designed for durability and can withstand all loads. The electric motor, combined with the low weight, is very powerful and economical. The batteries provide energy for a range of up to around 300 kilometres. That is really something special in the electric, compact-commercial vehicle segment. The best way to experience this overall impression is during a test drive or a site visit."
The purchase price of the Sevic V500e, which is manufactured entirely in Europe, is also something special: the vehicle with the smaller battery size with 16.5 kilowatt hours (kWh) and a range of up to 150 kilometres costs €24,900 net (plus bodywork and transfer); the long-range model with a 33-kWh battery and a range of up to 300 kilometres is available for €29,500 net plus bodywork and transfer.
