Sevic V500e - Made in EU
Why we choose to produce our new vehicle in the European Union
We decided to produce and source most of the parts for our new flagship model, the Sevic V500e, in Europe for three main reasons:
Reliable Supply Chain
We found well established partners all over Europe to create a highly efficient and reliable supply chain for our production. Our new model will be manufactured in a joint venture with our partner Milara International Ltd. in the Trakia Economic Zone. Together with our partners we have combined our know-how and expertise to create an outstanding product. Our aim is to ensure a reliable and secure supply chain right here in Europe.
High Quality Components
"Made in EU" stands for high quality products and services. We chose the best partners with years of industry knowledge to create the new Sevic V500e. Components from many different countries of the Union come together to build the electric light-utility vehicle for the future of Europe's dense urban areas. By engineering and designing our components specifically for electric vehicle use we can make sure they are of the highest quality.
Secure and Sustainable Value Creation
By producing our new vehicle in Europe and sourcing the majority of the parts from within the European Union we keep the value creation sustainable and secure. This basis will allow us to grow and create new products in the coming years. We love Europe and aim to contribute to its strong future. Our joint venture production facilities at Milara International in Plovdiv, Bulgaria provide secure workplaces and a high economic potential for an up-and-coming region in the EU.
Our local manufacturing reduces our C0² emissons drastically. As an electric vehicle brand we aim to become carbon neutral and take every chance we can take to save the environment. Because most of the parts used in the new V500e are made in Europe there is way less overseas shipping from Asia. Before, large parts like the chassis had to be shipped in from china. Now we are producing them locally in Europe and the shipping distance could be cut by a significant amount.
In Europe the regulations are also much more strict than in other parts of the world. We can prevent unregulated pollution by only acquiring parts and services from certififed EU-companies.
We are still aiming to increase our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, but we are on a great trajectory.
